Please note: This product might take a little longer to arrive as it may be shipped from outside the UK. The Metal Run for Small Pet Puppies is tailored to meet the needs of puppies and their mother. One panel has a gate on a raised threshold, which prevents your puppy from leaving the pen but allows the mother to easily come and go. This keeps your puppy safe from anything dangerous both indoors and outdoors. This puppy pen is very sturdy and can be made smaller or bigger as required. This run can be set up in no time at all. The 8 metal sides are held together with connection pins and individual elements can be easily removed or added in order to make the run smaller or bigger! On soft surfaces, the pins can be also be used to anchor the pen to the ground, which gives this enclosure additional stability. For indoor use, this enclosure is perfect for keeping your puppies separate from your living space. This way, the puppies and mother are not disturbed, but you can still keep an eye on them. This helps to foster trust, as the pack feels safe and not excluded. Puppies born in a relaxed breeding environment like this are generally calmer and can deal with stressful situations better. Good to know

  • Use a run with a roof or escape barrier outdoors; rabbits jump and dig better than most owners expect.
  • Check the cage dimensions against welfare guidance for your species instead of relying on the label.
  • Match bar spacing to the smallest animal: mice and dwarf hamsters escape through very small gaps.

Common questions

Is a 120 cm cage big enough for a rabbit?

Not on its own. The Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund recommends at least 3 m x 2 m of continuous space, 1 m high, for a pair of rabbits. A 120 cm cage can work as a base or bedroom if it opens on to a large run or a rabbit-proofed room.

Can I keep a hamster in a cage made for mice or rats?

Possibly, but check the floor space and bar spacing. Hamsters need lots of floor area and deep bedding more than height, while rat cages are often tall with wide bar spacing that a small hamster could slip through. A large tank or a dedicated hamster cage with a deep base is usually the safer choice.
