Tips for fixing to the wall: Check that the condition of the wall in the desired place is suitable before affixing brackets to the wall. Materials for mounting brackets are not included. We recommend that you purchase screws and wall plugs that are specifically designed to suit your wall from a specialised shop. Use special wall plugs and screws for concrete, hollow walls or plasterboard. Check the stability of the cat tree before allowing your cat to use it. Check the stability regularly and tighten the screws when needed. Please Note: This cat tree includes hanging toys. No toy is completely indestructible. As with any other product, please supervise your pet when playing with these toys. Check the toy regularly for damage, and remove the toy from the tree if it is damaged to avoid potential injury to your pet. Please note: This product is intended for indoor use only.

Good to know

  • For large or heavy cats, choose thick posts and wide platforms, often sold as XL models.
  • Measure your ceiling height before buying a floor-to-ceiling tree and check its adjustment range.
  • Choose a post taller than your cat’s full stretch on its hind legs, so it can scratch with its body fully extended.

Common questions

How tall should a scratching post be?

Tall enough for your cat to stretch out fully on its hind legs with front paws extended, plus some extra. For most adult cats that means a much taller post than the small ones sold for kittens. The base must be heavy or fixed so the post does not wobble.

Is sisal or carpet better for scratching?

Sisal is usually the better choice. It is hard-wearing and gives a satisfying shred, while looped carpet can snag claws and teaches the cat that carpet is for scratching. Some cats also love cardboard scratchers.
