Please note: This product might take a little longer to arrive as it may be shipped from outside the UK. The Karlie Telly Scratching Cave fulfills two important needs for your cat. The cave in the design of a nostalgic tube TV, in which your feline can feel safe and secure while resting and still have a good view of what is happening in front of the cave. This way, your cat can enjoy an enchanting live TV show at the same time. The chances of good entertainment with passionate and varied scratching are very good. The TV cave is made entirely of irresistible, robust corrugated cardboard and can be scratched not only on the outside, but also all around the inside, so that your cat can let off steam with both horizontal and vertical scratching, including spectacular overhead scratching. The Karlie Telly Scratching Cave has also been designed with comfort in mind. It stands firmly on four feet to keep the potentially cold floor at a distance. Good to know

  • Rub catnip or silver vine into the sisal and play with a wand toy around the post to draw your cat to it.
  • Do not replace a post just because it looks shredded: cats prefer a well-used, scent-marked surface.
  • For large or heavy cats, choose thick posts and wide platforms, often sold as XL models.

Common questions

How tall should a scratching post be?

Tall enough for your cat to stretch out fully on its hind legs with front paws extended, plus some extra. For most adult cats that means a much taller post than the small ones sold for kittens. The base must be heavy or fixed so the post does not wobble.

Is sisal or carpet better for scratching?

Sisal is usually the better choice. It is hard-wearing and gives a satisfying shred, while looped carpet can snag claws and teaches the cat that carpet is for scratching. Some cats also love cardboard scratchers.
