The ‘flamed’ wood surface gives the scratching post a warm, brown colour and highlights the natural grain of the wood. This makes every scratching post unique and a real eye-catcher in your home. The sturdy trunks of the scratching post are covered with solid wood slats and partially wrapped in thick natural sisal, which allows your house cat to indulge in its natural scratching behaviour. The cosy lying baskets made of water hyacinth offer your pet an ideal retreat. The soft, removable plush cushions provide additional comfort and are easy to clean. zooplus Exclusive Scorched Wood Cat Tree at a glance: Elegant scratching post for cats Unique look: thanks to ‘flambé’ surface and natural materials High-quality materials: logs with solid wood sheathing Cosy lounger baskets: made from handcrafted water hyacinth wickerwork Easy to clean: washable plush cushions for extra comfort Colour: brown Natural materials: Flamed solid wood slats Extra thick natural sisal: approx. 10mm (diameter) Hand-woven water hyacinth Overall dimensions: 139 x 58 x 58cm (H x L x W) Base plate: 58 x 58 x 5 cm (L x W x H) Max. Please check the product regularly for any damage, loose joints or screws and replace the item when it becomes defective to avoid any harm coming to your pet. Tips for fixing to the wall: Check that the condition of the wall in the desired place is suitable before affixing brackets to the wall. Materials for mounting brackets are not included. We recommend that you purchase screws and wall plugs that are specifically designed to suit your wall from a specialised shop. Use special wall plugs and screws for concrete, hollow walls or plasterboard. Check the stability of the cat tree before allowing your cat to use it. Good to know

  • Push the post or tree firmly before your cat uses it: if it wobbles, anchor it to the wall with the fixing kit.
  • Place a scratching post next to where your cat sleeps or in front of furniture it already scratches.
  • Offer both a vertical post and a horizontal scratcher to see which your cat prefers.

Common questions

How do I stop my cat scratching the sofa?

Put a tall, stable scratching post directly in front of the area your cat scratches, and cover the sofa spot temporarily with a throw or double-sided tape. Reward your cat for using the post. Once the habit has moved, you can shift the post gradually to a better position.

How tall should a scratching post be?

Tall enough for your cat to stretch out fully on its hind legs with front paws extended, plus some extra. For most adult cats that means a much taller post than the small ones sold for kittens. The base must be heavy or fixed so the post does not wobble.
