For disinfection purposes, the item is machine washable up to 90°C. In high-pressure sterilizers, we recommend min. 3 minutes and max. 5 minutes at 135°C. To avoid damaging the fabric, disinfectant washes should only be carried out if absolutely necessary. The texture of the surface changes after washing, but this has no influence on the effectiveness of the product. Please do not use fabric softener or a dryer! We recommend using the wash bag XL for cleaning: When cleaning pet textiles and accessories, the wash bag XL proves to be a practical helper. It prevents pet hair from getting into the washing machine and min. the risk of damage from hard elements such as buckles and zippers. Pet hair does not stick to the inside of the wash bag and can simply be shaken out after the wash cycle.

Good to know
- Wash bedding at 60°C if your dog has had fleas, as this kills eggs and larvae in the fabric.
- Keep two washable covers or blankets so one is always clean while the other dries.
- Do not leave a gel cooling mat with a dog that chews. The gel inside should not be eaten.
Common questions
Does my older dog need an orthopaedic bed?
Many older dogs are more comfortable on deep, dense foam that does not flatten under them, especially large breeds and dogs with stiff joints. It is not a treatment, so if your dog seems sore or slow to get up, see your vet as well.
How often should I wash my dog’s bed?
Washing the cover or blanket every week or two keeps smells, hair and dirt under control, with vacuuming in between. Wash at 60°C if fleas have been a problem, provided the care label allows it.
