Please note: This product might take a little longer to arrive as it may be shipped from outside the UK. Dogs and cats love a cosy place to rest, laze about and sleep. The Heim Hygienic Blanket is a great addition to any household, as it is wonderfully soft and easy to clean. Just like your own bedding, your pet’s blankets and beds get dirtier as they use them and germs, dirt and other impurities accumulate on them. The Heim Hygienic Blanket is suitable for high-temperature boil washing at up to 95°C. This helps to effectively eliminate any pests or germs that may be living in the blanket, ensuring it is hygienic and clean. This blanket is soft and cuddly and ideal to use in your pet’s basket, their travel crate or in the car. Good to know

  • Place the bed out of draughts and away from radiators, somewhere your dog can still see you.
  • Older and stiff dogs find low-sided beds easier to step into than deep baskets.
  • Measure your dog stretched out from nose to base of tail, then add roughly 15 to 30cm.

Common questions

How often should I wash my dog’s bed?

Washing the cover or blanket every week or two keeps smells, hair and dirt under control, with vacuuming in between. Wash at 60°C if fleas have been a problem, provided the care label allows it.

Are cooling mats safe for dogs?

Gel cooling mats are generally fine for supervised use on warm days. The gel is not meant to be eaten, so take the mat away from dogs that chew. On hot days, shade, fresh water and avoiding exercise in the heat matter more than any mat.
