The foldable Trixie Vario Mobile Kennel is a versatile item, acting as a great pet kennel for when you’re away from home. No matter whether you are camping, travelling or simply staying away from home, this Trixie Vario Mobile Kennel offers your dog the perfect space to relax in. Floor straps and pegs included with the crate help to secure the kennel firmly to the floor. It is easy for your dog to enter the box as it can be opened on three different sides. A net insert all the way around allows for optimum ventilation in the kennel and can be closed when there is too much sun coming in or it starts to rain. Good to know
- Never leave a dog in a parked car on a warm day, even with the windows down.
- Flying with your dog? Check the airline’s crate requirements before buying, as they set the rules.
- Your dog should be able to stand without ducking, turn round easily and lie flat on its side in the crate.
Common questions
Can I leave my dog in a crate all day?
No. A crate is for short periods, overnight sleeping and travel, not for keeping a dog shut in for a working day. Dogs need regular toilet breaks, exercise and company. If you are out for long hours, look at a dog walker or day care.
Which type of crate is best for the car?
Purpose-built aluminium car crates are the sturdiest and are shaped to fit the boot. Plastic transport crates and wire crates also work if they fit well and are secured so they cannot slide. Fabric crates are fine for calm dogs at your destination but offer little protection while driving.
