Tigerino Plant-Based Litter Tofu Pellets - Green Tea Scent is a biodegradable, fast-clumping cat litter made mainly of soya fibre and starch. This tofu litter is very hygienic and economical. Soya fibre is a by-product of tofu production, and it has been pressed to form lightweight pellets. These pellets create a water-soluble, clumping cat litter that can be disposed of in the toilet. Tigerino Plant-Based Litter Tofu Pellets form into firm clumps with minimal tracking, which help to make cleaning the litter tray easier and more pleasant. This litter has a gentle, green tea scent. Good to know
- Scoop at least once a day and top up, rather than waiting for a full change.
- Change to a new litter type gradually, mixing in more of the new litter over about a week.
- Compare litter by price per litre, not per kilo, as different materials vary a lot in weight.
Common questions
Which cat litter is best for odour?
Clumping clay and silica litters usually control smells best, because urine is locked away and can be removed daily. Wood and plant-based clumping litters also do well. Whatever the type, daily scooping and enough trays make more difference than added fragrance.
Can you flush cat litter down the toilet?
It is not recommended, even for litters sold as flushable. UK water companies warn that litter can block sewers and that parasites from cat faeces are not removed by water treatment. Bag it for the general waste or compost suitable plant-based litter away from food crops.
