Please note: This product might take a little longer to arrive as it may be shipped from outside the UK. The Wellness Dog Mattress offers maximum comfort, especially for older dogs or dogs with joint and spine problems. Memory foam has been used human mattresses for many years. It moulds around the body and takes the strain off joints and spine. This effect is achieved through body warmth which allows the body to sink into the mattress. This comfortable dog bed allows your dog to enjoy a restful, restorative sleep. The memory foam will return to its original shape again and again. The Wellness Dog Mattress - brown artificial leather at a glance: Moulds around the body Takes strain off body parts sensitive to pressure Relieves joints and spine Absolutely noiseless Wipe-clean artificial leather cover Anti-slip nubs on base Colour: Dark Brown Please note: Due to logistical reasons, the mattress in this item will be shrink- and vacuum-packed. As the memory foam mattress will be tightly compressed, please allow up to 48 hours after unpacking for the mattress to fully unfold and reach its full height. A protective underlay should be placed beneath the bed when used on parquet or PVC floors to avoid possible discolouration.

Good to know

  • Press into the middle of a foam bed. If you can feel the floor easily, it is too thin for a heavy dog.
  • Wash bedding at 60°C if your dog has had fleas, as this kills eggs and larvae in the fabric.
  • Keep two washable covers or blankets so one is always clean while the other dries.

Common questions

What size bed does my dog need?

Measure your dog lying stretched out from nose to base of tail and add roughly 15 to 30cm. Dogs that curl up can manage with a slightly smaller round bed, but sprawlers need the full length. If your dog is between sizes, choose the larger one.

Does my older dog need an orthopaedic bed?

Many older dogs are more comfortable on deep, dense foam that does not flatten under them, especially large breeds and dogs with stiff joints. It is not a treatment, so if your dog seems sore or slow to get up, see your vet as well.
