The Woody Flat-Roofed Dog Kennel is made of varnished pinewood with complete roof coating made from green sanded bitumen roofing felt. The Woody Flat-Roofed Dog Kennel offers your dog the perfect shelter, and the roof can be fully folded back for easy reaching and cleaning of the inside. The roof overhang protects the wood of the kennel against rain, shielding the entrance. Height-adjustable rubber caps cover the stable wooden feet, protecting against damp. It can also help to balance out uneven ground to ensure stability. The ground clearance ensures good air circulation under the kennel and protects your dog against cold and wet ground. The plastic door for the Woody Flat-Roofed Dog Kennel ideally keeps out wind and rain, so your dog can remain warm and dry. The overlapping slats of the plastic door make it very easy for your dog to go in and out of the cabin. The Woody Flat-Roofed Dog Kennel can be easily assembled with a single screwdriver and included screws. Start by allowing your pet to stay relaxed in the kennel with the door open. Only then accustom it to being placed in the closed kennel and extend the length of stay. The kennel should never be used as a punishment, as it should be a safe and positive place for your four-legged friend. Keeping a dog in a cage in a closed state is contrary to animal welfare and is only suitable for short-term accommodation for a maximum duration of 30 minutes. Consult your local legislation for the correct and safe keeping of animals in cages.

Good to know

  • Check gaps under and beside garden gates. Many dogs squeeze or dig rather than jump.
  • Measure your dog’s height to the top of its back while standing. The flap opening needs to be a little higher.
  • Keep the step-over of a dog flap low, roughly no more than a third of your dog’s height.

Common questions

What size dog flap do I need?

Measure your dog’s height from the floor to the highest point of its back and its width at the widest point. The flap opening should be slightly bigger than both. Keep the bottom of the flap low enough to step over easily, roughly no more than a third of your dog’s height.

Can I use a pressure-fit gate at the top of the stairs?

No. Pressure-fit gates have a bar across the bottom that is a trip hazard, and they can be pushed loose. At the top of stairs, use a gate that screws into the wall. Pressure-fit gates are fine for doorways and the bottom of stairs.
