The Trixie XXL Ergonomic Ceramic Bowl has been carefully designed to help your cat adopt a healthy posture during feeding, taking pressure off the vertebra. This is great for long-term health and makes eating a wholesome and enjoyable activity. The bowl is made from ceramic and has a wonderfully smooth and non-porous surface. The edges are all smooth and there are no tricky corners where food can get stuck, making it a much more hygienic choice and also keeping cleaning time down. Good to know
- Put water in a different spot from the food, and never next to the litter tray.
- Wash food bowls after every meal and refill water bowls with fresh water at least daily.
- Replace fountain filters on the maker’s schedule and take the pump apart to clean it regularly.
Common questions
How often should I change a cat fountain filter?
Follow the manufacturer’s schedule, which is usually every few weeks and is printed on the filter pack. Replace it sooner if the water looks cloudy or the flow slows. Clean the pump and bowl at the same time.
Why won’t my cat drink water from its bowl?
Common reasons are water placed right next to the food, a bowl that is too narrow or deep, stale water or a strong-smelling cleaning product. Try a wide bowl in a different room or a fountain. If your cat suddenly drinks much more or much less than usual, see your vet.
