Cats are well-known for being independent animals who prefer to decide for themselves where they want to roam. The Trixie 4-Way Cat Flap with Tunnel will give your kitty the freedom to come and go as it pleases. This silent cat flap is suitable for walls as well as doors and can be extended as desired thanks to the tunnel pieces. The 4-way system gives you full control to decide whether the cat flap is closed completely or is open. In addition to this, you can restrict access so that your cat can only go out or only come into the house. These settings are easily controlled with a manual dial. Good to know
- Wall installations need a tunnel extension to cover the full thickness of the wall.
- Keep spare batteries for a microchip flap and replace them as soon as the low battery warning shows.
- Teach your cat by propping the flap open first, then lowering it gradually with treats on the other side.
Common questions
Are cat nets safe for balconies?
A net made for cats, properly fitted and checked regularly, is a widely used way to let indoor cats use a balcony. Choose bite-resistant mesh small enough that a cat cannot get its head through. If you rent, ask your landlord before drilling or fixing anything to the outside of the building.
How does a microchip cat flap work?
It reads the microchip implanted under your cat’s skin as the cat approaches and releases the lock only for chips you have registered on the flap. Other cats cannot get in. Most models also accept an RFID collar tag for cats without a compatible chip.
