Purizon 100% Plant Fibre Cat Litterat a glance Made from 100% plant fibres Clump-forming: liquids are bound in solid clumps for easy cleaning Without chemical additives or fragrances PEFC-certified Reliably neutralises odours Particularly economical: lasts up to 5 weeks Gentle on paws - without sticking Can be disposed of in the toilet - please observe local disposal regulations Disposal instructions: Flushing via the household toilet is only intended for individual clumps of this natural litter. Place individual clumps in the toilet, allow to soak briefly and flush thoroughly. The water must be able to rinse and wet the clumps sufficiently. Add a new clump. It is even easier if you crush the clumps with the litter scoop beforehand. Never put several clumps of waste in the toilet at the same time. The household toilet is also not suitable for disposing of and emptying the remainder of a used toilet filling. It is better to compost larger quantities or dispose of them with household waste in accordance with local regulations

Good to know

  • Wear gloves or wash your hands after cleaning the tray, and avoid the job during pregnancy if someone else can do it.
  • A litter mat in front of the tray catches granules from paws before they spread through the house.
  • Keep litter at least 3 to 4 cm deep so your cat can dig and cover properly.

Common questions

Can you flush cat litter down the toilet?

It is not recommended, even for litters sold as flushable. UK water companies warn that litter can block sewers and that parasites from cat faeces are not removed by water treatment. Bag it for the general waste or compost suitable plant-based litter away from food crops.

How often should I change all the litter?

Scoop daily and top up. Non-clumping litter usually needs a full change at least weekly, while clumping litter can go longer because only the soiled clumps are removed. Wash the tray with mild unscented soap whenever you empty it completely.
