Out in the wild, trees and their bark are ideal for scratching but at home you need to provide your cat with a special place to do this. This will prevent your kitty from sharpening its claws on your furniture, carpets or rugs. This floor to ceiling cat tree can withstand even the most ferocious attack by your cat. The stopper at the top can be adjusted to fit the tree perfectly to your ceiling and the two brackets can be fixed to the wall to make this cat tree particularly stable. It will not take up much space in your home and its subtle look will fit in in any home. Please check the product regularly for any damage, loose joints or screws and replace the item when it becomes defective to avoid any harm coming to your pet. Tips for fixing to the wall: Check that the condition of the wall in the desired place is suitable before affixing brackets to the wall. Materials for mounting brackets are not included. We recommend that you purchase screws and wall plugs that are specifically designed to suit your wall from a specialised shop. Use special wall plugs and screws for concrete, hollow walls or plasterboard. Check the stability of the cat tree before allowing your cat to use it. Check the stability regularly and tighten the screws when needed. Please note: This product is intended for indoor use only.

Good to know

  • Do not replace a post just because it looks shredded: cats prefer a well-used, scent-marked surface.
  • For large or heavy cats, choose thick posts and wide platforms, often sold as XL models.
  • Measure your ceiling height before buying a floor-to-ceiling tree and check its adjustment range.

Common questions

How tall should a scratching post be?

Tall enough for your cat to stretch out fully on its hind legs with front paws extended, plus some extra. For most adult cats that means a much taller post than the small ones sold for kittens. The base must be heavy or fixed so the post does not wobble.

Is sisal or carpet better for scratching?

Sisal is usually the better choice. It is hard-wearing and gives a satisfying shred, while looped carpet can snag claws and teaches the cat that carpet is for scratching. Some cats also love cardboard scratchers.
