Please note: This product might take a little longer to arrive as it may be shipped from outside the UK. Overwintering birds need a diet rich in energy to get through the cold season. Frost and snow restrict their natural food intake, and urbanisation makes it increasingly difficult for them to survive on natural food sources. Especially in cities, wild birds benefit from supplementary feeding. Lillebro Sunflower Seeds for Wild Birds are a nutritious and energy-rich food which helps wild birds to cope with chilly winters. A natural source of vitamins and rich in oils, sunflower seeds are an important part of the supplementary wild bird diet. We recommend that you protect the bird feeding place from wind, rain and snow and clean it regularly. This will encourage the wild birds in your garden to keep coming back for more

Common questions
How long does bird seed last once opened?
Seed gradually loses nutritional value and can go stale or attract moths, especially if stored warm or damp. Keep it sealed in a cool, dry place and aim to use it within a couple of months. Throw it out if it smells musty, looks dusty or shows signs of insects.
Is a seed-only diet bad for budgies?
Seed alone tends to be low in vitamin A and calcium and high in fat, which can contribute to health problems over time. A varied diet with good-quality seed or pellets, daily fresh vegetables and a calcium source such as cuttlefish bone is better. An avian vet can advise on converting a seed-eater to pellets.
