Active dogs who like to play fetch and tug games will love the KONG SqueakStix. The extra-long and particularly robust toy is like a conventional stick, only much better. In fact, thanks to the thermoplastic rubber and rounded ends, it’s even a safer alternative to a stick, as bite injuries are more likely to be prevented. In addition, there are two built-in squeakers that squeak animatingly when squeezed or bitten into. This ensures long-lasting fun and encourages interaction between your master or mistress and your four-legged friend. KONG SqueakStix at a glance: Practical dog toy in stick/club shape Versatile: for retrieving and tugging games and for satisfying the natural chewing instinct Durable: especially robust material With squeakers: one in each end, attracts attention, encourages playing Safer alternative to conventional sticks: rounded ends, less risk of bite injuries Colour: orange Material: 99% TPR, 1% plastic squeaker Size: approx. Good to know

  • Teach ‘drop’ or ’leave’ before playing lots of tug, and end the game if teeth touch skin.
  • Use rubber throwing toys instead of real sticks, which cause mouth and throat injuries.
  • Choose a ball too big to slip to the back of your dog’s throat. If in doubt, size up.

Common questions

How often should I replace my dog’s toys?

There is no fixed schedule. Replace a toy as soon as it splits, cracks, frays into long threads or loses stuffing or squeakers. Strong chewers may get through toys in weeks, while gentle dogs can keep the same toy for years.

When can my puppy start agility?

Puppies can learn foundation skills such as focus, walking over low planks and going through short tunnels. Jumping and weaving should wait until your dog has finished growing, which takes longer in large breeds. Ask your vet when your dog’s joints are ready.
