The FELIWAY Friends Diffuser Starter Kit is an easy-to-use solution to help reduce signs of conflict between your cats with signs of fighting, chasing, blocking or staring. A clinically proven solution to help your cats get on better. Feliway Friends contains a synthetic copy of the cat appeasing pheromone (CAP) naturally produced by a nursing mother to her kittens after birth, this pheromone helps the kitten feel safe and secure and promotes a bond between them and their mother. This has the same effect on an older cat. FELIWAY Friends was the first product that was scientifically proven to reduce conflict and tension between cats living in the same household (DePorter et al (2019) JFMS 21(4):293-305) It’s never been easier to keep your diffuser refill replaced, there is now a 3 pack of refills. Replacing the refill regularly ensures your cats are being provided with these supporting cat pheromones at all times and are where best results are seen. Each refill lasts up to 4 weeks and will cover 70m2 (approx 3 bed home) Can be used by any cat of any age to provide support. Feliway® Friends is ideal for multi-cat households where the cats are showing signs of tension or conflict. It can help to ease tricky situations and calm things down. Cats are solitary hunters and many see other cats as a potential threat to food resources. This can cause clashes and struggles between your pets. Most cats quickly get on with each other again, but for some it can turn into a long-lasting feud. Feliway® Friends is based on a synthetic copy of CAP, a cat appeasing pheromone which is produced by lactating queens to promote and strengthen the bond between kittens and their mother. This pheromone helps young kittens to feel safe and secure. The Feliway® Friends diffuser mimics the natural pheromone and helps your cat to feel safe and secures. It is clinically proven to help reduce tension in a multi-cat household and you will notice results after only a short period. Good to know
- Keep sessions short and reward with a treat, so your cat learns to accept grooming.
- Check black specks from the coat on damp white paper: red-brown smears mean flea dirt.
- Clean only the visible part of the ear and never push cotton buds into the ear canal.
Common questions
How often should I brush my cat?
Short-haired cats usually need brushing about once a week. Long-haired breeds such as Persians and Maine Coons need daily brushing to prevent mats. Older or overweight cats that cannot reach their back may need help more often.
Do I need to trim my cat’s claws?
Outdoor cats usually wear their claws down naturally, but indoor and older cats often need trimming every few weeks. Use cat claw clippers and cut only the clear tip. Ask your vet or vet nurse to show you if you have not done it before.
