Gentle nutrition for sensitive dogs: Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Hypoallergenic Insect is a scientifically-developed dry food for dogs with food intolerances and dermatosis. It uses insect protein from Hermetia illucens larvae as the sole source of animal protein and potatoes as the sole source of carbohydrate to minimise food and nutrient intolerance symptoms. Skin support and good tolerability: Salmon oil provides essential fatty acids to support skin function and reduce excessive hair loss. The recipe is rich in linoleic acid, EPA and DHA, which contribute to skin and coat health. Hydrolysed plant protein and prebiotics promote gentle digestion. Good to know
- Compare economy packs by price per kilo, but only buy a size your dog will finish while the opened bag still smells fresh.
- Feeding guides assume a dog at a healthy weight. If your dog is carrying extra weight, ask your vet how much to feed.
- Leave fresh water down at all times. Dogs on an all-dry diet get almost all their fluid from the bowl.
Common questions
How much dry food should I feed my dog?
Start with the feeding guide on the pack for your dog’s weight, then adjust for activity, age and whether your dog is neutered. Weigh the food rather than using a cup. If your dog gains or loses weight over a few weeks, change the amount by a small step and keep checking.
Is dry or wet food better for dogs?
Neither is better in itself: both can be complete and balanced. Dry food is cheaper per day, keeps longer once opened and is easy to use in puzzle toys. Wet food contains much more moisture and tends to appeal more to fussy or older dogs. Many owners feed a mix, reducing each portion so the total stays right.
