With Biokat’s Organic Care Wood Fibres Cat Litter, you can offer your cat a natural, sustainable and particularly hygienic litter alternative. The fine grain size made from secondary raw wood materials ensures high absorbency - up to 7 times its own weight! This creates firm, compact clumps that can be removed quickly and easily without affecting the rest of the litter tray. The special tubular structure of the wood fibres binds unpleasant odours reliably and for a long time. Biokat’s Organic Care Wood Fibres Cat Litter is virtually dust-free and therefore particularly gentle on your cat’s paws - ideal for sensitive house cats. The litter is easy to use, simple to dispose of (please observe local regulations) and is manufactured in Germany - for short transportation routes and environmentally-friendly production. Good to know
- Keep litter at least 3 to 4 cm deep so your cat can dig and cover properly.
- Scoop at least once a day and top up, rather than waiting for a full change.
- Change to a new litter type gradually, mixing in more of the new litter over about a week.
Common questions
Can you flush cat litter down the toilet?
It is not recommended, even for litters sold as flushable. UK water companies warn that litter can block sewers and that parasites from cat faeces are not removed by water treatment. Bag it for the general waste or compost suitable plant-based litter away from food crops.
How often should I change all the litter?
Scoop daily and top up. Non-clumping litter usually needs a full change at least weekly, while clumping litter can go longer because only the soiled clumps are removed. Wash the tray with mild unscented soap whenever you empty it completely.
