BETA®: Free the Real Dog Inside Real Dog Story “When I got Bailey it was amazing to see his unique personality come out. He’s a proper Chaser now. And his favourite thing is to run and chase me! We go on lots of long walks to make sure he gets a chance to stretch out. A dog like Bailey has got to be given a chance to do what he naturally wants to do. I try to bring him to different places, so he’s not always running in the same environment. Keeps it interesting for us both!” - Andrew, from Carshalton Which Type is Yours? To help you “Free the Real Dog Inside”, we’ve created six inspiring examples of #realdogs and what gets their tails wagging: #RealDogs THE BUDDY - They greet strangers like old friends, and old friends like family. Never happier than with other dogs and people. THE JESTER - Life’s a stage, and they’re here to entertain! Because nothing is more fun than a new game. THE THRILLSEEKER - They just love to dive right in. Splashing, swimming, rolling, and the messier the better! THE FOODIE - They’re not just food motivated… they’re food obsessed! Relishing the world through their mouths. THE CHASER - They were born to move - fast! That’s why they need to run, track and retrieve. THE EXPLORER - Every walk is the start of a new mission… digging, climbing, and uncovering - and probably ends with a bath!

Good to know
- Switch foods gradually over 7 to 10 days, mixing a little more of the new food into the old each day.
- Weigh daily portions on kitchen scales. A scoop or measuring cup can be well off, and small errors add up over months.
- Keep kibble in its original bag inside an airtight bin, so you still have the batch number and best before date if there is a recall.
Common questions
Is grain-free dry food better for my dog?
Not automatically. Most dogs digest cooked grains well, and food allergies are more often linked to animal proteins than to grain. Grain-free recipes can suit some dogs, but if you are choosing one without a medical reason, discuss it with your vet.
How much dry food should I feed my dog?
Start with the feeding guide on the pack for your dog’s weight, then adjust for activity, age and whether your dog is neutered. Weigh the food rather than using a cup. If your dog gains or loses weight over a few weeks, change the amount by a small step and keep checking.
