In the first months of life, kittens develop natural protection systems, which are later responsible for a healthy and happy life. The immune system is the foundation, which builds a complex defense system. It offers protection for the digestive system, skin and coat, and urinary system. To guarantee the optimal development, a perfectly balanced diet is essential. PURINA PRO PLAN Kitten Healthy Start offers a complete wet food for kittens aged 6-52 weeks. Designed by veterinarians and scientists, with a specially designed nutrient profile, adapted to help the growth and development of kitten’s vital functions. Protein-rich with tender turkey chunks, enriched with DHA to support healthy vision and brain development. Good to know
- Lift uneaten wet food after an hour or two, sooner in warm weather, and wash the bowl before the next meal.
- ‘With chicken’ on a label means at least 4 per cent chicken; ‘chicken flavour’ means there may be none at all.
- Tins of fillets or flakes in broth are often complementary: check for the word ‘complete’ before feeding them as a main meal.
Common questions
Why does my cat only lick the gravy?
Many cats like the flavour and texture of gravy or jelly more than the chunks. Try a pâté or loaf texture, where there is nothing to separate, or a different chunk size. Make sure the leftovers are not the reason your cat is underfed overall.
How many pouches a day should my cat have?
It depends on the food’s energy content and your cat’s weight, so use the feeding table on the pack. Most brands give one figure for feeding only wet food and another for mixing with dry. Weigh your cat every few weeks and adjust if it is gaining or losing weight.
