The recipe of MAC’s Cat cat food is based on the natural nutritional habits of cats. A high meat content covers your cat’s protein needs. Cats can often develop intolerances to cereals in their food, which is why all MAC’s meals are completely grain- and gluten-free with no added soya as well. The high-quality animal proteins come from heart, lung and liver, with no moulded meat or animal or bone meal. Thanks to the gentle preparation, the recipe is well-accepted and has a delicious, unbeatable flavour. The added taurine can also promote healthy heart function and strong eyesight. The recipe is made with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and is completed with added vitamins and minerals. • Large cans are usually cheaper per kilo than pouches, which makes them good value in multi-cat homes.
  • Change to a new wet food gradually over 7 to 10 days to avoid an upset stomach.
  • Cover opened cans and trays, keep them in the fridge and use them within the time on the pack, usually a day or two.

Common questions

Is wet food better than dry food for cats?

Neither is better in every case, as long as the food is complete. Wet food supplies a lot of water, which helps cats that drink little, while dry food is cheaper and convenient. Many owners feed a mix. If your cat has a urinary or kidney problem, ask your vet which they recommend.

How long can wet cat food be left out?

Wet food is best lifted after an hour or two, and sooner on warm days when it dries out and attracts flies. Opened cans and trays should go in the fridge, covered, and be used within the time stated on the pack.
