Gentle support for digestion and weight management: Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Gastrointestinal Moderate Calorie is a scientifically-developed dry food specially tailored to meet the needs of cats with absorption issues, insufficient digestion and pancreatic insufficiency. It is made with easily-digestible ingredients that relieve the digestive tract, as well as offering a moderate energy content to help support weight control. Gut flora and nutrient balance: The recipe contains mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) and inulin to support a balanced intestinal flora. An increased content of selected minerals can help to compensate for electrolyte losses. It is particularly tasty and can promote food intake even in more sensitive cats. Good to know
- Keep fresh water within reach at all times, as dry food contains only about 10 per cent moisture.
- Switch to a new dry food over 7 to 10 days, mixing in a little more each day.
- Neutered and indoor cats usually need the lower end of the feeding guide, or a sterilised recipe.
Common questions
Is grain-free dry food better for cats?
Not necessarily. Grain-free foods replace cereals with other starches such as potato or peas, so they are not automatically lower in carbohydrate. They can help the small number of cats with a diagnosed grain intolerance; for other cats, the overall recipe and the right portion size matter more.
Can I leave dry food out all day?
Yes, if your cat eats small amounts throughout the day and keeps a healthy weight. If your cat eats everything at once or is gaining weight, weigh the daily ration and split it into meals or use a puzzle feeder instead.
