BETA dry dog food is a 100% complete and balanced pet food, with nutritional benefits that will help keep your dog in perfect shape. Beta is the UK’s No.1* specialist-exclusive premium dry dog food brand with a wide selection of products designed to meet your dogs needs, whether a puppy or adult dog. With the use of cutting-edge technology and research, all these products have 6 key nutritional benefits: Optimal Digestion: All BETA products contain a Natural Prebiotic to help support digestive health. Prebiotics contain natural fibres that feed good bacteria in a dog’s digestive tract. Purina has proven that the addition of chicory in their recipes may increase the good bacteria by 100 times after 30 days of feeding your dog BETA.** This natural ingredient helps improve digestive health and promotes optimal health from inside out. Oral Care: All BETA products are made with dual kibble shapes and most products - except for the puppy and senior range - also have dual kibble sizes. The two different shapes have been specifically designed to encourage the dog to chew the food (leading to better digestion), and also rub against the teeth to help clean the teeth and gums. Purina has proven that the pentagon kibble reduces tartar by 21% after 28 days.*** As puppies and seniors need more aid to chew the food, they have a smaller kibble size. Nonetheless, the products still have dual shapes as, no matter the age of your dog, he can still benefit from good oral care. Lean Muscles: All BETA products are made with protein from quality meat or fish to help your dog maintain toned muscles and a healthy heart. In conjunction with essential vitamins and minerals, Beta provides all the nutrients he needs to help stay healthy and full of vitality. Delicious Flavours: Purina strives to create nutrition that your dog instinctively prefers. All BETA products are rich in meat. Healthy Immune System: All BETA products are formulated with natural prebiotics, which contain natural fibres that feed the good bacteria in a dog’s digestive tract. In combination with antioxidants such as vitamin A and E, these will help your dog maintain his natural defences and be ready to enjoy the great outdoors! Natural Wholesome: All BETA products provide complete nutrition and are made with natural and wholesome ingredients, so your dog will receive all the nutrients he needs to help him live a healthy and active life. *Aztec, value market share 2011 **Nestlé-PURINA study: “Chicory addition in dry dog food proven to increase Bifidobacteria.” ***Nestlé-PURINA study: “Project Safari, 2010” More information about the individual varieties can be found here: BETA Dry Dog Food

Good to know
- Treats and chews count towards the daily total. Keep them under 10% of calories and reduce meals to match.
- Every few weeks, feel your dog’s ribs and look for a waist from above, then adjust portions in small steps.
- Switch foods gradually over 7 to 10 days, mixing a little more of the new food into the old each day.
Common questions
Is dry or wet food better for dogs?
Neither is better in itself: both can be complete and balanced. Dry food is cheaper per day, keeps longer once opened and is easy to use in puzzle toys. Wet food contains much more moisture and tends to appeal more to fussy or older dogs. Many owners feed a mix, reducing each portion so the total stays right.
How long does an opened bag of dry dog food last?
Once opened, kibble slowly loses freshness as the fats react with air. Keep the bag rolled tightly in an airtight container, away from heat and damp, and follow any guidance on the pack. If the food smells stale or rancid, or your dog suddenly loses interest, replace it.
